Problem: person who decides to treat a urine culture may not be the person who ordered the culture in the first place.

Goal: Get everyone in the same room! Need data to show and then discussion on how to improve.

Educating clinicians about resistance and optimal prescribing.

Regular reporting information on antibiotic use and resistance to doctors, nurses and relevant staff.

Monitoring antibiotic prescribing and resistance patterns.

Progress on PDSA Cycle 1

On a quarterly basis look at positive urine cultures, who ordered, if abx were ordered.

Up to 10 cases reviewed per quarter. Will focus on ASB and clinical issues identified by the team.
