Sit down and talk with each physician individually about ASB
Progress on PDSA Cycle 1
Stewardship meeting will take place at the end of Feb – will discuss ASB project and share data there.
Discuss ASB 101 at stewardship meeting and share data (add takeaways to study portion of PDSA cycle). Very receptive to presentation.
- Will attend med staff meeting (occurs monthly) to discuss SMART goal ideas based on Bend Bayou’s data.
- Will reach out to admitting hospitalist for nursing home patients on ideas to lower treatment of ASB.
Potential SMART goals and areas of focus to present to stakeholders:
- Reduce ASB treatment by 20%
- Reduce unnecessary urine cultures
- Increase IV to PO (clarify urosepsis)
