John Lynch, MD, MPH

Principal Investigator and Co-Medical Director

John Lynch, MD, MPH is a Professor of Medicine at the UW School of Medicine and an Associate Chief Medical Officer at Harborview Medical Center. He is an active ID physician and the Medical Director of the hospital’s Infection Prevention & Control, Employee Health, and Sepsis Programs. John was part of the team that launched TASP in 2016 and has been one of the medical directors of the program since that time. While he enjoys the entire field of ID, John’s areas of expertise includes common bacterial infections, novel pathogens, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, occupation health, and hospital programs and operations. John loves working with rural health colleagues as he gets to learn as much if not more from them as he teaches during the TASP sessions. CSIM leads the way with a two-way, peer-to-peer, interdisciplinary, and community oriented approach that sets the standard for how we can all improve patient care wherever it is delivered.
